BIFSA membership is drawn from the entire IFS industry and comprises both individuals and corporate entities involved in the incorporation of International Business Companies, formation and management of International Trusts and Foundations and International Banking as well as various other activities within the Industry.
It is required by law that all persons or companies which provide IFS services in or from within Belize must be licensed by the International Financial Services Commission. This is not an automatic process and involves an application to the IFSC where extensive due diligence must be provided including relevant qualifications and experience in the IFS industry. Licensing must also be renewed on an annual basis.
